One sales pitch can be used on everyone

Sales pitches are not one size fits all. While you can certainly use a sales template, it will need to be personalized for each individual potential customer. When you personalize your sales pitches, your potential customers feel appreciated and valued.

The sole goal is closing the sale

While closing sales are important, it is not the end all be all of a sales job. More than anything, sales is about building relationships. You should never consider it a loss if you didn’t make a sale if you were able to connect with the potential customer. That connection can be used to close a later sale. At the very least, it keeps you in their mind for future reference.

A common myth about sales is that it is a dead-end career. However, there are ample opportunities for promotions and advancements within the sales industry. Working in sales also prepares you for careers later in life. In fact, 85% of America’s entrepreneurs and leaders today were once salespeople.
